Things to do in the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Colorado Springs

There are several things to do in the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo along with your family and friends. Some of the most amazing things you do:

  • Mountaineer Sky Ride: To get a wonderful bird’s eye view of the mountain zoo and Colorado. The ride is open throughout the year, depending on the weather. Here is a little more information on the ride:

  • Feed the elephants: Feed elephants at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. You can get to experience this amazing activity during the months March through October. Be a part of scheduled feeding sessions and get in touch with nature in a unique way – and that too by just spending between $8 to $10 (can increase depending on how much you would like to feed them).
  • Pizza with a view: Get served European style pizza goodness with a breathtaking view. Not only pizzas, enjoy their fresh salads and locally crafted beer. The best part you ask? Well, they have amazing vegetarian and vegan options, as well. It is operational throughout the year from 11am to 5 pm.
  • Spend the night in the wild: Imagine spending a night in the zoo getting to experience the most amazing things such as feeding giraffes, guided evening tours, and lots more? Well, here you can experience all this!
  • Grizzly Bear Demonstration: One of the most popular activities in the zoo includes that demonstration of behaviors and training patterns of the two male bears – Digger and Emmet. They are just a few steps away from the visitors so they can get to educate themselves about the bears. The demonstration takes place every day at 2:45pm.
  • Take a V.I.P Tour: If you are someone who wishes to experience the zoo in a more personalized way, get a day’s admission to the zoo and witness everything from a golf cart. Including a guided tour, a Safari Trail, and feeding the animals from behind the scenes.
