Watch for deer, elk and bears out the windows! We have a 6 point Bull Elk (we named him Barton) that visits us regularly. Make sure you get a carmel apple or some ice cream from famous Lauras! *3.8 miles to Lake Estes (marina, kayaking, fishing, ice fishing, fly fishing) *2.7 miles to the famous Stanley Hotel (Ghost tours, restaurants) *Attractions - Fun City, Bowling Alley, Hiking, Snow shoeing, Cross Country skiing, RMNP Tours, Golf Course (9 and 18 hole courses, Mustang Mountain Coaster, fishing, boating on lake Estes, *Breweries/Distilleries- Rock Cut Brewing, Lumpy Ridge, Estes Park Brewery and Avante Guard Ale works, Hogback Distillery, the Barrel. *Hosts will provide a list of restaurant recommendations as well as info about their favorite trails to hike or snowshoe Airport - Denver International Aiport - 82 miles This home is located in the incredibly beautiful Estes Park valley just outside the gates to Rocky Mountain National Park. This location does require you to have a car. Once you are inside RMNP, there are shuttles that will take you from lower parking lots to the highly desirable Bear Lake area. Remember that Estes Park is in the Rocky Mountains. It sometimes snows or experiences inclement weather. Please account for this when determining your route, vehicle and timing. Refunds will not be granted for inclement weather unless extreme circumstances are in play. Late arrivals are fine since you will be able to do self check in with your door code. Take care driving on the mountain roads, follow posted speed and parking signs and watch for park rangers and police. They are nice, but you will likely be ticketed if you are not following the rules. 4 Wheel drive is nice but not necessary to enjoy all that the Estes Valley/RMNP have to offer. Check in is 4pm and check out is 10am. Guests can request early or late check in for additional fee and if availability allows. Requests must be received at least 3 days before check in date. Due to strict covid 19 cleaning protocols, late check in and early check out is less feasible lately, but you are welcome to ask. Violation of pet or smoking (inside) policy $300 minimum deep cleaning Guests that fail to vacate the property at the designated checkout (initial 10 minute grace period) will be subject to a fee of $75 for every half hour increment. Occasionally we may leave consumables such as condiments or snacks that may be left behind from other guests. We try our very best to ensure that it is not expired or stale. HOWEVER, ultimately, it is up to the guests' discretion and inspection to consume these items if they wish. The host does not take any responsibility for the consumables.

This place was the perfect getaway. We loved the thoughtful surprises upon arrival, the beautiful home & views of the mountains, and the convenient location - a minute’s drive to RMNP and close to everything you want to do in town. We look forward to visiting again!
The home was beautiful and the little touches such as candies on the pillow were such a lovely touch. Everything was clearly marked and the notebook filled with things to do and see was so helpful!
Perfect location, so close to everything yet quiet and peaceful. Mule deer grazed in the yard every day. Jeff was a super responsive and welcoming host. The house was very clean and cosy. It had everything you could possibly need. Jeff and Rene thought of every detail. We loved the welcome basket!
